So what can you expect from the Racing Angles service? What are the objectives of the service? What does the service consist of? How does it work? How and when do things happen? And how do I make the most of the service?
All of these are very good questions. But let me start by telling you what the Racing Angles service is NOT. Racing Angles is NOT a straightforward, run-of-the-mill tipping service. I am not a big fan of tipsters – ‘services’ that cost on average between £30 and £40 per MONTH – the vast majority of which fail to deliver the ridiculously hyped-up results they promise.
When a tipster charges you that kind of money, you expect a constant and regular flow of winners – and why wouldn’t you? After all, that’s probably what the tipster promised you. That regular and uninterrupted flow of tips is one of the problems with tipsters – many of their recommendations exists to make up the numbers rather than because of any strong belief on the part of the tipster that any individual selection will actually win. The thinking behind the selection is often flimsy at best and non-existent at worst. Why? It’s because most tipsters are more about volume than quality. And when the inevitable losers are tipped many tipsters go ‘on tilt’ upping the frequency and volume of their selections in the vain hope that more tips will mean – on average – more winners. If you’ve ever used many of the tipping services out there for any length of time you will know just how quickly following such services can turn into a financial car crash of Formula 1 proportions.
Racing Angles steers you towards winners and losers you can profit from….
My Racing Angles service does not pick ‘winners’ – the claim that all tipsters like to make. What my Racing Angles service does is provide serious punters like you with unique information, analysis and insight that will steer you towards horses most likely to be seriously competing for the honours in the races they are entered in – whilst enabling you to swerve horses that aren’t and represent bad bets.
Racing Angles is not about spoon-feeding you the names of horses that may or not may not win – in exchange for an exorbitant fee. Racing Angles is a service that if used over time will help make YOU a better and profitable racing punter. It provides a solid platform for making your own decisions. You don’t just get tips. You get to access, absorb and use information that will soon have you thinking like a betting professional and producing the kind of betting performances that will blow most tipping services out of the water. Racing Angles sets out to provide what no tipster will ever furnish you with – the knowledge and approaches you need to actually find your own winning bets.
And we’re not just about finding winners of horse races. I also take pride in providing information that will assist you in finding plenty of losers – horses which, for whatever reason, are not likely to be competitive in the races they are entered in and which can be laid for profit on betting exchanges such as Betfair or Betdaq.
Many of you will already know that most of my own income comes from laying horses on the betting exchanges and Racing Angles will enable you to regularly access the type of information I’m acting on whenever I lay a horse to lose. In effect, the Racing Angles service brings you the data, information and methods which enable me to live my life without an employer, with no place I HAVE to be at 8.00am and with the freedom to do what I want to do whenever I want to do it. People will tell you that making good money from gambling is impossible. It isn’t. Not when you’re acting on the right kind of information. Racing Angles is dedicated to providing you with that information, day-after-day, month-after-month and year after year.
Information you simply won’t find and can’t access anywhere else….
The type of information Racing Angles provides you with – day after day is NOT MADE AVAILABLE from any other source and you will not find access to it anywhere else – not in the Racing Post, the mainstream National press or on any other website.
The information published on the Racing Angles website comes from sources that nobody else is using and nobody else has access to. What’s more nobody will EVER get to use or gain access to these tools. And I can say that for sure because I designed the sources – tools originally developed for the trading desks of bookmakers to help them analyse races but which belong to me and which I have sole access to.
When I originally designed the tools it was with the intention of helping bookmakers to identify the horses most dangerous to their bottom line profits each day – horses which, for a myriad of reasons, it was not in their interests to attract bets on. With that information to hand the bookmakers would make sure that they were the shortest price about those horses – meaning they attracted less bets than competitors who were not in possession of the same information. Conversely, the tools also sought to identify horses it was likely to be profitable to oppose. The bookmaker would go long on those horses – often making sure they were the biggest price available – so that they attracted as many bets and as much money as possible on these ‘losers waiting to happen’.
It’s over three years now since I left the betting industry to concentrate full-time on my own betting activities and my writing. During that period a clause in my contract of employment forbid me to use the tools. But the waiting period has now come to an end and those same tools once used by bookmakers to preserve and increase their bottom line profits are now being put to use by the Racing Angles service - but with one small difference. This time the tools are being used to benefit the punter. And here’s how….
Exactly what the Racing Angles service consists of….
The first major component of the Racing Angles service is our Big Race Focus. It works like this. Early in the week I will select one of the big weekend handicaps which will form the subject of our focus. These are the events I tend to specialise in because there is so much information available about these horses – both in the formbook and in other areas. That familiarity lends itself to thorough analysis.
Another plus point to selecting these types of races is that they tend to be governed by strong trends. Year after year similar types of horses tend to run well in these races. And, if we punters can identify exactly what those trends are then we can use that information to split what are usually big fields into the probables (horses that fit the prevailing trends and are most likely to produce a big run) and the not-so-probables (those that patently don’t fit the trends and are unlikely to trouble the judges).
One of the tools I designed for the bookmakers was known as the Trends Analyser. On Thursdays I use that tool to establish exactly what the prevailing trends of our weekend race consist of. It works like this: I analyse not only the winner of past renewals but also all the other horses that got competitive in the race. Over time I’ve found that this unique approach to trends analysis produces a more accurate result than just focusing on race winners like so many other trends analysts do.
On Thursday afternoons I will post my findings and analysis on the Racing Angles website where you can access it in the Members Only section. Don’t worry we’ll send you an email to let you know it’s there so you don’t have to waste time checking to see if it’s up or not. As part of the analysis I will apply my findings to the upcoming renewal and identify those horses which should be most interest to us on the day of the big race.
Friday is Profiling Day….
On Friday I will submit the our shortlist of ‘probables’ – derived through trends analysis – to a rigorous profiling procedure using another tool which was designed originally for use by the bookmaker’s trading desk.
The Profiling Tool is designed to identify the ‘keys’ to any specific horse – the conditions and circumstances under which it produces its best performances and the conditions and circumstances under which it doesn’t.
Every individual race presents its participants with a specific set of conditions and circumstances – specific going, distance, track aspects, field size etc etc – which horses must overcome if they are to win or run well. All horses are different. Some are most suited to one thing and some to another. Sometimes horses are well-placed – entered in races with conditions and circumstances that suit. And it might surprise you to learn that week after week many horses are entered in races with presenting circumstances and conditions that don’t suit.
The Friday profiling procedure exists to identify which of our shortlisted horses are most suited by the conditions and circumstances of the following day’s race. These are the animals we can take a serious interest in and expect big runs from.
On Friday afternoons I will post my findings on the Racing Angles website where you can access them in the Members Only section – giving you plenty of opportunity to bring your own unique analysis of the information to bear and to find the best prices about the horses that interest you most in the race before the following day’s ‘off’.
I’ll be sending you an email on Fridays to let you know exactly when the Profiling analysis has been completed and the results published onsite.
Throughout the week expect a constant flow of winning betting angles….
Throughout the week I’ll be making regular contributions to the Notebook section of the racing Angles website. This is one serious resource for the punter looking for edges and winning angles.
One day I might be looking at a specific trainer or jockey and identifying the ‘sweet spots’ in their overall record – the specific areas where they consistently produce profits for the backer or the betting exchange layer.
Another day I might look at a specific horse and figure out under what circumstances or conditions we should be backing – and those under which we shouldn’t.
Another day I might seek to identify a laying system that we can use to consistently produce profits on the betting exchanges over the long-term.
I might analyse the progeny of a specific sire and establish under what circumstances his offspring are of big interest to backers.
I might look at the prevailing draw trends at a specific track and identify the profit hotspots. I might take a look at what type of horses are winning on the All-Weather. Or which trainers are producing profit for backers when they send their runners more than 200 miles from home. I might take a look at which Irish-raiders should be respected – and when. I might take a set of unique statistics – not available to the wider – market and establish what they can show us and how they can help us in the constant ongoing search for more winners and more profits.
On other days I might analyse some of the good races that have recently taken place and identify runners that might not have won but whose performances should be noted – and under what conditions and circumstances we should take a serious betting interest in the weeks ahead.
The objective is to provide you with a constant supply of winning betting angles, edges and approaches that are proven to produce winners and consistent profits over the long term.
You should think of this section of the site as your own personal access to whatever’s on my mind where the racing is concerned. Every day I utilise my tools, databases and techniques to produce something that will help me find a winner or a stream of winners further down the line. And from now on you can share in the fruits of that process with exclusive access to the Notebook section of the Racing Angles website.
Making the most of the Racing Angles service….
I’ve got two pieces of advice to help you make the absolute most of the Racing Angles service.
Firstly, make sure you return to the site on a regular basis and check what’s been added to the Notebook section. I’ll be updating this section on most week days with winning betting angles, information, analysis and insight that will give you an edge over the wider market and proven betting approaches that produce consistent long-term profits. The more often you visit the site, the more valuable information you can access. All entries will be archived so if you can’t log in for a day or two then don’t worry. You can always check back through the archive for any postings you might have missed.
Secondly, use the information you find on the website in conjunction with your own thinking, your own analysis and your own observations. Every single punter in the land will have his unique insights and you will have yours. Far from advising you to ignore your own knowledge and experience I actively encourage you to use it, develop it and improve on it. The overall objective of the Racing Angles service is to assist you in that endeavour – and to help you find more winners and more profits from your betting along the way.
